I don't own a lot of high end makeup but that's starting to change slowly thanks to HauteLook. I've been watching lots of YouTube videos and decided that I really wanted the Lorac Pro eyeshadow palette. You get 16 shadows for $42 which us a better price than the Urban Decay Naked Palettes. The Naked and Naked 2 Palettes are very popular but you only get 12 neutral shades for $50. Don't get me wrong, I would love to own them but since I'm on a budget, I want to get the most bang for my buck. A couple of weeks ago HauteLook had Lorac products on sale and I bought a few things to try out.
The first thing I wanted to try was a smaller palette to see if I would even like the shadows. They had the Lorac Mint Edition Collection which contained six shadows, one blush, one lip gloss, and a cute wristlet bag for just $18.
There are three shimmer shadows, three matte shadows and one coral blush. The shadows are very easy to work with and can make beautiful looks. I love that I can make a complete look with just one palette and I don't have to find other shadows. The blush is also a very pretty coral color. It's a good everyday color. The lip gloss is an exclusive Lips With Benefits Gloss in the color Christian. The gloss is so pretty over another lip color or by itself. I normally wear it by itself because it's kind of a neutral/pink color and works with most looks. Here are the swatches of all the makeup.
You can still find this collection on www.loraccosmetics.com for $18. Once it's gone, it's gone. Based on this palette I think I'm going to ask for the Lorac Pro Palette for my birthday or Christmas.
I also bought another product from Lorac. I've been wanting to try some new eye liners and thought I would give them a shot. I ordered a set of four Lorac 3-in1 Waterproof Eyeliner Pencils for $10.
Navy, Charcoal, Ultra Black, and Jade
I'm very pleased with these liners. They go on very easy and don't seem to smudge very easily. They really last all day and I love the colors. Each pencil is retractable and comes with a sharpener and smudger on the end.
These eyeliners are the steal of the day. I only paid $10 for all 4 of them but most places online sell them for $18 a piece. That's very pricey for an eyeliner pencil. I know I wouldn't pay full price for them but I am very pleased with the product and so excited I found them for so cheap. I would check out eBay to see if you can find them cheaper.
Whew, that's a lot of info. I'm so excited to be writing this blog because I want to share any beauty knowledge (not like it's a lot) that I have. Let me know how you like it and what you would like to see in the future. Thanks for reading.
Go Hogs!!
