Manicure Monday

I have a special manicure for a special day. Tomorrow is my birthday and I think this manicure is very fitting.
This is Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday over Salley Hansen Black Out. This was my first Deborah Lippmann and I love it. This glitter polish is so easy to use.
I hope everyone has a good week.

Manicure Monday

On Black Friday, I decided to take advantage of some indie nail polish sales. I love Polish by Jessica Jean and she was having a killer sale. I ended up getting three polishes.

Candy Cane Disco, Black Friday Frosting, and Christmas Lights

First I used Christmas lights and put it over Sally Hansen Wedding Glitters (a gold color). This was so sparkly and pretty.

Today I tried Candy Cane Disco over Sally Hansen Celeb City (a silver color). The glitters in this one are so pretty!  It catches the light and sparkles like you wouldn't believe. Check out the silver holographic glitters!!!

I haven't tried Black Friday Frosting yet but I have a few other polishes from the frosting collection and they are all fantastic.

Manicure Monday

I know I talk about this brand a lot but I can't help that Glitter Lambs is so awesome. She keeps coming out with new Christmas polishes. I ordered a few more. Mainly because I helped name them. She asked for ideas one day on facebook and she used a few of mine.
The first one is a pretty blue glitter mix. I put this over Sally Hansen Breezy Blue. It also came with a bag of blue hearts. I also love this polish over silver. Looks a little "Frozen" inspired.

The next polish is one of my favorites. Grinch Dust over a green polish. It's so densely packed with such beautiful glitters.
I just love this one.

She still has tons of Christmas polishes for sale in her shop so go check them out.

Here is a bonus picture. My Thanksgiving manicure. Glitter Lambs Pumpkin Spice. This one is still for sale too.

Manicure Monday

Winter collection are coming out everyday right now. Blue nail polish is a favorite of mine and one was catching my eye from KBShimmer. Snow Way is a light blue jellyish polish with white glitters and a gorgeous shimmery glitter running through it.
KBShimmer doesn't disappoint with any of the polishes I've tried so far. Very nice quality and gorgeous colors.
I also decided to try a cuticle oil pen. I'm trying to take better care of my cuticles so I thought I would give it a shot. They have holiday scents out right now and I chose peppermint. So far I'm loving it. I've only used it a couple of times but so far so good. It's not super greasy feeling and absorbs nicely. The smell is amazing.

Manicure Monday

I've missed a few because I've been recovering from pneumonia. I'm finally feeling better so here's a manicure Monday for you.

I tried a new indie nail polish brand last week called Delush Polish. I picked up two of their Halloween minis and a mini from the Dexter collection. All three of these polishes are jelly based with different sized and colored glitters inside.

I first tried Murder House. A black jelly with silver, white and red glitters. It was really pretty and easy to work with.

Then I tried Dark Passenger. A blue-green jelly with lots of colored sparkly glitters. I think this is an all time favorite polish for me. I'm in love!

I definitely want to buy some more polishes similar to Dark Passenger. I've really enjoyed this brand so far and will continue to purchase polishes from them.

Manicure Monday

Here's my latest indie purchase. I've been trying all these different brands slowly. I bought two polishes from Laquerlicious.
Vamp Tramp is a red jelly base with orange, purple, and red glitters.
October Fest is more of a gray crelly (creamy jelly) with silver and purple glitters.
They both have amazing formulas. The coverage is great and you could possibly get by with one coat.

Vamp Tramp is so gorgeous.

Manicure Monday

Today is Bational Stop Bullying Day so I wore blue in support of that. I work at a school so this is something I deal with all the time.
I also decided to paint my nails blue for the occasion.
This is Zoya Dream. Such a stunner with those holographic glitters. Zoya definitely needs to make more of these. I have two of them and really want more. The formula is fantastic. This polish is pretty perfect.

Manicure Monday

I have yet another indie brand nail polish for you. I've decided to start buying one or two polishes from different brands so I can try out all the brands.
Here are two polishes from KB Shimmer.
Get Clover It

Vicious Circles

These are both jelly polishes with glitter. They are pretty amazing. My favorite is the green one but I did wear the red one for four days. I received so many compliments on both of them but especially the green one. I'm very happy with these polishes and would love to try more from them.

Manicure Monday

Here is my last swatch of the Glitter Lambs polish I recently received in the mail.
My Heart Belongs to Jesus
I layered this glitter polish over Lime Crime's Lavendairy.

I have loved every polish I've tried by Glitter Lambs and I highly recommend them. They are a Christain based company and the owner is such an amazingly sweet lady. This is a good way to support a small business and a Christain business.

Manicure Monday

I've been slowly trying new brands of indie polishes. I ordered a few polishes from Glitter Lambs and the owner decided to give me a few more. I couldn't believe it. Glitter Lambs is a Christain based company located in Arkansas.
Here are the polishes I received last week.
They are so sparkly and beautiful.
From left to right:  Rainbow, Cotton Candy Fluff, My Heart Belongs to Jesus, Circus Clown in Town, and Sweet Dreams.
These glitters are so dense and easy to use. So far I've used two of them and will finish testing the other ones this week. Keep an eye out on my Instagram for more manicures using these beauties.
Undie:  Essie Chinchilly
Topper:  Glitter Lambs Cotton Candy Fluff
This was my first manicure using these polishes and it was so delicate and pretty. I couldn't stop looking at my nails.
Undie:  OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls
Topper:  Glitter Lambs Sweet Dreams
This is my current manicure. I love the simplicity of this polish.

I can't say enough positive things about these polishes and company. I will be ordering more from her soon. Check out her store in Etsy.

Manicure Monday

I was looking for the perfect transition color from summer to fall. I bought this color a few weeks back when Ulta was having a major sale on nail polish. I picked up this polish for 99¢.
Orly Rage

Rage is such a beautiful rose gold color and perfect for a transition color. The formula was better than I expected. I'm not normally a fan of metallic polishes but this one is pretty amazing.

What colors are you looking forward to wearing this fall?

Manicure Monday

I picked up a couple of limited edition polishes by China Glaze that were part of The Giver collection.
The blue one is Capacity To See Beyond and the glittery one is Boundary Of Memory. These are hard to find so if you like them pick them up when you see them. They are both great polishes with good formulas. The glittery one is a little thick but still pretty easy to work with.
I love these colors together and can't wait to pair this glitter with other colors this fall.

Manicure Monday

My goodness, Bonita polishes are so amazing. Especially for an inexpensive brand. Too bad I don't have a Rite Aid anywhere near me.
This is Bonita Juvia and Zoya Arlo. The Bonita polishes are so opaque and zero streaks. Amazing!  That's all I can say.

Manicure Monday

I've been loving my new polishes I picked up on vacation. Yesterday I used another one of my Julie G polishes in oh em gee. It's a gorgeous neon pink color.
My ring finger I used OPI Crown Me Already and just a white on my middle finger with some silver glitter.
This is such a fun summery manicure.
Can't wait to play with the rest of my new polishes.

Manicure Monday

I'm on vacation in Tennessee and I found a Rite Aid so I can get some new polishes.
Tonight I had some downtime and changed my polish so I could use one of my new Julie G polishes. I tried out Bikini.
Such a summery manicure. I love it.
I hope everyone has a good week. I know I will with this view.

Manicure Monday

I just can't get enough of Zoya's Magical Pixie Dusts. I bought three more during the Zoya Threedom event and only paid $12 for them. Here is my latest manicure using Vega.
The blue cream color is Essie in the cab-ana which is one of my all time favorite colors.
The Zoya Magical Pixie Dusts are very chunky and textured with amazing holographic glitters.  I just love to use these as accents on any manicure. My favorite is probably the silver color called Cosmo. I might have to buy a backup of that one.

Manicure Monday

A couple times a year Zoya will run specials on their website. Recently they had get three polishes free and pay $12 shipping. That's not their normal shipping price, just the price for the offer. I decided to take advantage of this offer and pick up some more magical pixie dust since I've been so obsessed with cosmo.
From left to right:  Vega, Ginni, Arlo

I love using these as an accent nail but I decided to have two accent nails in this manicure.
I used Zoya Ginni and Zoya Dot.

Later last night I found a picture on Instagram that was exactly the same but blue. They used Vega and Blu. I will probably do that manicure very soon.

Manicure Monday

I have people always tell me that my nails are always perfect. Not always.  Today is not one of my favorite manicures but thought I would show one of my mistakes.
The glitter nails didn't turn out like I'd hope it would and I did a poor job with the pink nail polish. There are wrinkles that you can't see in the picture. Needless to say, I'm too tired to fix it tonight so I'm going to work on a new manicure tomorrow.

Manicure Monday

It's almost July which means the 4th is right around the corner. I have a few ideas of some manicures and wanted to share one of them with you.
I recently bought some mini bottles of Formula X polish by Sephora and realized I had red, white, and blue polishes. I also wanted to use the white glitter that was in the set.
I've been so excited to try out these polishes and so far I'm impressed.
I love this white glitter. I thought it would look good over the blue and represent the stars on the flag.
Check out my Facebook page or my Instagram for more manicures inspired by the 4th of July.
What are your plans for the 4th?

Manicure Monday

I love trying new brands of polish and I just found another indie brand. Jessica Jean makes a line of polishes called frostings. They are a white crelly base with different colored and shaped glitters. I decided to try her strawberry frosting polish when she offered free shipping.
The formula is so great and applied like a dream. I used two coats and a top coat.
I wore this polish for 4 days and one of those days I was in a pool for most of the day. The polish wore very well with hardly any chipping. I'm very impressed with the quality of the polish and of course I love the color.
What indie brand do you like?

Milani Baked Blush

Since summer started I've been looking for a peachy, bronze, glowy blush. Every time I went to a makeup store I was looking for something perfect but was disappointed every time.
The other day I started going through my makeup to see what I had in my collection that I could put into my rotation. I saw a blush I bought back in the fall from Milani. I wasn't a huge fan of it and just set it aside in my drawer.
I decided to try this again because it looked similar to what I was looking for.
This blush was exactly what I was looking for. It was perfect. It made my skin look glowy like summer skin should look.
I haven't used anything else since I picked this back up. The Milani baked blushes are pretty amazing. I find mine at Walmart and they are around $8 each. You should really check them out. You won't be disappointed.
What is your favorite summer makeup product?

Manicure Monday

Here's a bonus for you guys. I'll be showing you a couple of manicures today because I'm so excited about a collection of polishes. Maybellibe came out with a limited edition collection for the summer called bleached neons. I had the hardest time finding these and I finally found them and haven't stopped wearing them.
I'm missing two colors but I found one on eBay and the peach one didn't have a good formula so I didn't get it.
Here are a few manicures I've done so far.
These are such fun colors and the formula is pretty good on all of these.
What summer colors are you excited about using?
