I was afraid this color would be too sheer but it was mor opaque than I thought. I don't like sheer polishes that show your nail line. This is such a pretty lilac color from Julep called Alice. I think it's perfect for Easter.

This is a repeat but I just love this color so much. Black Cat Lacquer is one of my favorite indie brand of nail polish. This is a Tiffany blue polish called Venus. They recently came out with a new spring collection. I'm dying to order some.

Manicure Monday

Nail art is such a funny thing. I've been doing some nail art that are pretty easy and people go crazy over it. In this manicure, I used dotting tools to make the perfect dots. 

Dotting tools are very cheap. I found mine on eBay for around $3. All you do is find the size you want and dip it into the polish. Then you dot it on your nail. So easy and makes such cute designs.

Wet N Wild Petal Pusher

I love using the Wet N Wild eyeshadow trios and have been wanting to try their 8 pan palettes. Since spring is almost here, I've been eyeing the purple palette called Petal Pusher. 

I found this one at Walmart for under $5 plus I had a $1 off coupon. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me. 

Aren't these colors beautiful?  I can't wait to play with it this week. The pigmentation is great. I'm so excited for spring and purple is a hot color this spring and this year. 

These palettes are so affordable and are pretty good quality. Be sure to check these out. They are affordable by themselves but sometimes you can find them on sale or use coupons. Not too shabby.

Manicure Monday

It's almost St. Patrick's Day and I'm trying to do a better job of posting manicures that go along with holidays before the actual holiday. I used a green polish I had and paired it with a gold/copper glitter. I think I might try to do another manicure with some white polka dots and green polish. I'll be playing with a few things this week so I'll post pictures on Facebook and Instagram.

Manicure Monday

It's Mardi Gras time so I had to come up with a festive manicure. The colors of Mardi Gras are purple, green and gold/yellow. I had a few different purples so I tried a few different colors out and paired them with glitter. I love using a nail wheel so I can test things out before putting polish on my nails. Here are the colors I used on my nails. 

I mixed up the colors on my nails. And only added the glitter to the yellow nails because it showed up the best. 

The glitter polish by Black Cat Lacquer inspired the whole manicure. 

I loved the way it turned out.
