Manicure Monday

I went to the pool this weekend so I feel it's officially summer. My polishes are definitely going to be bright but today's polish is a little different. I received a Ruby Wing color changing polish in a Birchbox and haven't tried it yet. The color changes with the sun and since it's been so gloomy I haven't wanted to try it. The polish is a bright pink and I love the color. The formula is also really good.
Here is a shot inside.
Here is a shot after being in the sun for just a few seconds.
It changes from bright pink to a reddish color. I thought both colors were very pretty and I'm super excited to wear it more this summer. I also think it would be great as a pedicure color.
It's nothing dramatic but it's fun and I enjoy it.

Manicure Monday

Yesterday on my Instagram I gave a clue about my manicure. You're going to need shades for this one.
Orly glowstick

This is a crazy neon color and I love it. Last year I used this as a toe color and it was one of my favorite pedicures. Some neon polishes are pretty sheer including this one. Here's a tip in case you have a sheer polish.

I use a white base and then I layer the sheer polish on top. For this manicure, I used a base coat, one coat of white, one coat of glowstick and one coat of top coat.
I can't wait to wear more neon colors this summer. What color are you most excited about wearing this summer?

Manicure Monday

I've really been into nail wraps lately but last night I decided to go with some glitter.
China Glaze It's A Trap-eze is a glitter polish in a creamy grayish base. There are lots of different colors in it so it matches a lot of other polishes. I paired it with Essie Mod Square. This is a perfect pink and the formula is amazing. It's very opaque and goes on smooth. Such a fun manicure.

Manicure Monday

Has anyone tried Jamberry?  I recently placed an order and I won a half sheet from the party. I went all in and tried a complete manicure.
They looked great and weren't too hard to put on. I used my blow dryer and it took me about 45 min. I know the first time takes longer until you get used to it. I did have a few problems getting all the bubbles out. My nails are really curved so it was hard not to get bubbles by the cuticles and the tips.
I wore them for 6 days and this is how they looked before I took them off.
The ends started peeling very slightly. The problem for me was the spot by my cuticles. They didn't look bad but were starting to peel up. My hair was getting caught in that part. It got very annoying so I had to take them off.

I'm very curious to see if I have the same problems next time. I hope that I get better at applying them and they work better next time. I'm on the fence about them but I'll keep you updated.
